About Open View Studios Kilkenny
Open View Studios Kilkenny (OVS) is a video production and post-production studio operated by the J. Hyland Group. Established in November 2025, the studio serves as the central editing and production hub for media projects produced within the organisation.
The studio is used to edit and produce video content created through the J. Hyland Group’s projects, including productions from J. Hyland Photography, J. Hyland Sound & Lighting, and other media work carried out by the group.
Open View Studios provides a dedicated workspace for post-production, video editing, and creative development, ensuring that all projects are completed to a professional standard.
The studio is not open to the public. Access is restricted to authorised J. Hyland Group crew members. Visitors, collaborators, or guests may only enter the studio if they have been invited or granted permission by the J. Hyland Group.
OVS Online Disco
Open View Studios also hosts the OVS Online Disco, a virtual event streamed on YouTube that recreates the atmosphere of a real disco.
The production includes a live DJ set, multi-camera filming operated by the J. Hyland Media crew, and full sound and lighting provided by J. Hyland Sound & Lighting, giving the stream the feel of a real live event.
The OVS Online Disco is mainly organised as a fun project and training opportunity for the J. Hyland Group crew, allowing team members to practise live production skills such as camera operation, streaming, lighting control, sound setup, and DJ performance.
While it is primarily created for training and experience, viewers are welcome to tune in and enjoy the show. It’s a great way to see the crew in action while experiencing a live online disco.
